AutoResume

Automated job discovery and resume tailoring.

AutoResume searches for relevant roles, parses job requirements, evaluates fit against a candidate profile, and generates tailored application materials for the strongest matches.

Demo.

Upload a resume, search for a role, review the recommended changes, approve them, and download the tailored version.

Why I built it.

Personalization improves applications, but manually tailoring every resume does not scale. I built AutoResume to automate the repetitive work without turning the process into blind mass application.

The pipeline.

01Discover roles — search for relevant opportunities across job sources.
02Parse requirements — extract role requirements, skills, and relevant context.
03Evaluate fit — compare the role against a structured candidate profile.
04Tailor content — select and rewrite existing experience around the most relevant evidence.
05Generate artifacts — produce a tailored resume in HTML and PDF form.
06Application handoff — carry high-fit roles into the application workflow.

The fit score.

Each role receives a 0–10 fit score based on alignment between the posting and the candidate profile, combining semantic evaluation with requirements and keyword matching. High-fit roles automatically advance to resume generation.

System components.

  • Profile

A structured candidate profile — experience, skills, education, preferences — as the single source of truth for tailoring.

  • Discovery

Job search and scraping across job sources. Tracks processed roles to avoid duplicate scoring and generation.

  • Generation

Generates role-specific HTML and PDF resumes for each high-fit opportunity.

  • Handoff

Browser automation can carry high-fit roles into the application workflow.
